Tim Adams
Tim Adams wrote the book "Pattern of the Heavens" exploring a pattern that he found in the constellations that matches a pattern in the Old Testament.  He lives in the Oak hills ward, and has presented his findings at the Book of Mormon conferences in Utah.  As an author he has just completed his second book called "Similitudes" about typology of Old Testament types that match Latter-day Church history.  His class is an interesting walk through the constellations showing the order of the stars, their symbolism, and what the ancient inhabitants of this continent saw at the birth of Christ.

Jennifer Harvey
Jennifer Harvey thinks great art is better than chocolate.  Having earned a B.A. in Art History from U.C. Berkeley and her graduate degree also in Art History from NYU’s Institute of Fine Arts, she was assistant curator of European Paintings at the J Paul Getty Museum in Los Angeles.  Now an independent scholar and art consultant, she wrote Irises: Vincent van Gogh in the Garden for the Getty in 2009.  Jennifer moved to Oak Hills from Connecticut last year with her husband Todd Harvey and their three sons.

Robert Biancardi
Robert Biancardi is the great grandson of Italian immigrants.  After 3 months of investigating the Church, he was baptized in 1984 at the age of 20.  A year later he accepted a call to serve a full-time mission in Chile.  During his mission, his skill with the native  language stood as evidence that “all have not every gift given unto them.”   Since his mission he has served in many callings including bishop, but says his favorite calling was probably seminary teacher. He refers to those 1500 seminary lessons as one of the highlights of his gospel learning.  He loves the youth and he loves to learn.  His children joke that his iPod may be full, but good luck finding a song, because it’s all audiobooks and talks.  He can’t do a lay-up, doesn’t play golf and has never even tried to snow board, but does enjoy boating and water skiing.  He is a financial advisor by trade, but if there is extra time in his schedule you will probably find him out in the field on his tractor with one of his audiobooks.  He and his wife, Amy, have been married for 30 years and have 5 children, all of which are now adults.

Anne Brown
Anne Brown is the single mother of 4 beautiful adult children and 3 delightful grandchildren.  Formerly she served as the Director of the Self Talk Institute where coauthored “What to Say When You Talk To Your Self” and authored the Behavioral Software Series on Co-Dependency. She and Dr. Helmstetter presented Self Talk Seminars and Co-dependency Workshops throughout the United States and Canada. Currently Anne enjoys working for her son, Spencer Brown, as the North West Area Manager for Certified Signer Nationwide.

That it’s real. It is the greatest thing we could ever be a part of! And that our efforts can and do make a difference.
2016 — Woman + Biz Award.
2014 — Donald C. Sloan Speech Award.

Elder Blunk
Serves as our Area Seventy.  He has served as a bishop, mission president, and stake president’s counselor.  He and his wife, Karen have four children.

Project Linus with Pam Roessler
Project Linus is a volunteer non-profit national organization with over 300 chapters with a two-fold mission:
First, to provide love, a sense of security, warmth and comfort to children who are seriously ill, traumatized, or otherwise in need through the gifts of new, handmade blankets and afghans, lovingly created by volunteer “blanketeers.”
Second, to provide a rewarding and fun service opportunity for interested individuals and groups in local communities, for the benefit of children.
The Portland/Vancouver chapter was established in 2001.

The service project for the Single Adult conference involves drawing happy, colorful pictures with fabric markers on 8" white muslin fabric squares that are sewn together with an 8 inch "novelty" fabric square chosen by the participant from a selection of squares. A quilt top is comprised of 17 pairs of squares and is finished into a quilt by Project Linus volunteers. The quilt will then be added to the supply of blankets ready to be donated to children in need. It is a fun activity and allows participants to let their "creative juices" flow!
